2-D Images
: In the 2-D images, color coding has been kept consistent.
Multiple Line scan Images
: Likewise, in the multiple line scans, the blue line is always in the x-direction
over the bead's center. The other 3 lines also go in the x-direction, but through consistent y positions across
all images.
3-D Force Images
: Here the color code is rescaled for each image to improve visual clarity.
Single X-scans Over the Beads' Centers
: These are X-cross sections at the point of greatest deflection.
Scan Speed
: 21 µm per second or, equivalently, 179.2 data points per second for all of the following scans.
These are relatively slow, but much faster scans have been done.
Smoothing:
Smoothed data has each point representing the mean of that point and its four closest neighbors in x and y,
forming a 9x9 square array.
