Experience

Booz Allen Hamilton
Kabul, Afghanistan & Arlington, VA
Senior Consultant at Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA)
2009 – 2012
• Assisted in creating a DARPA Forward Cell in Afghanistan & helps to bring game changing technologies in
theater (sensors, power systems, communications) to the war fighter while on rotation deployments
• Established relations with local government, coalition forces, & various US agencies to build training
programs through technology to assist in the transition of government to the Afghan people
• Advised senior military staff on technical concepts of optics & RF prototypes for in theater operational
trials
• Technical/project management oversight of $88 million DARPA technology programs portfolio in
Afghanistan
• Analyzed, recommended, & assisted in implementing laser propulsion technologies needed to lift a craft
into low earth orbit
• Managed $500 million projects on program budget expenditures for the DARPA Tactical Technology
Office
• Led project to consolidate DARPA performer status reports resulting in a reduction of client’s time from
50% to 40%
• Developed the Program Manager (PM) Workload Analysis tool to track 10 variables relating to PM tasks

United States Air Force Cost Analysis Agency (AFCAA)
The Pentagon
Operations Research Analyst
2008 - 2009
• Constructed F-16 aircraft Cost Per Flying Hours (CPFH) inflation tool with Microsoft (MS) Excel for the AF
budget division improving 280,000 flying hours over $4 million in annual budget process
• Estimated A-10 CPFH rates to Air Combat Command financial management at $160,000 for 40 flying
hours

Johns Hopkins University Electrical Engineering Department
Baltimore, MD
Independent Study Researcher
Spring 2010
• Completed target in the loop optical tracking project with professor for completion of master’s degree
• Simulated innovative algorithm using MATLAB to find optimized function through atmospheric turbulence

BP Solar Research & Development
Frederick, MD
Research & Development Intern
Summer 2007
• Designed with Solidworks a heater modification to a laser system to heat samples while undergoing laser
scribing
• Tested an electron beam lithography system to produce different width patterns on a solar cell wafer

Pennsylvania State University Lion Satellite (LionSAT) Project
University Park, PA
Satellite Control System Student Researcher
2005 - 2006
• Analyzed satellite Ground Station Markup Language (GSML) software & control systems
• Implemented & programmed GSML into the LionSAT ground station successfully tracking satellite
movements
